Tod Street Tennis Club

Tod Street is one of the founding members of the Gawler and District Tennis Association. The first tennis courts in Gawler were laid in Tod Street in 1885 and these were the original home courts of the Tod Street Tennis Club. As Gawler grew and needs changed the club moved and the club is now at the Association Courts in Essex Park. The Tod Street name has been retained to reflect the club’s long history and to remember where tennis begun in Gawler. Tod Street also maintains courts at Evanston Gardens for occasional practice sessions.
